The Ice Cream Machine is powered by a 1937 John Deere Model E hit and miss motor. This general purpose motor is also used for water pumps, wood saws, concrete mixers, generators, or anything that needs a small power unit.

used in our Ice Cream Machine is 1.5 horse power which is the smallest
of the Model E. family. John Deere manufactured the Model E in 1.5 HP, 3
HP, and 6 HP with the 1.5 HP being the most popular.
